Why are hearing tests so important?

Early identification of hearing loss is crucial at any age. When we think of hearing or our ears we should think of our brain. Our ear doesn’t know if a dog is barking or someone is speaking to us, it is our brain that knows. Having proper access to sound is very important to keep our brain healthy and active across our lifespan. Late identification and treatment of hearing loss is linked to higher risk of cognitive and memory related issues such as dementia
